FAQs

Here are the most popular Wedding Flower FAQs

Are your flowers real?

No, they just look real! My flowers and foliage are high quality silk flowers.  I have many years of experience in sourcing the best quality flowers in the UK.

Do you only create flowers for weddings?

Although a large proportion of my work is for weddings, I also create flowers for your home, craft kits and postal flower boxes.  Some items are listed in my store  and others are made via request.

I also hold workshops for personal events for hens, birthdays, anniversaries or just as a fun activity to do with your friends and family.  Corporate team building events can also be catered for.  If you would like to discuss this further, please get in touch.

I have a love for teaching and mentoring other aspiring faux florists.

How far in advance do I need to contact you for our wedding flowers?

As soon as your date is set, we can start discussing your flowers.  Couples often book with me between 9 – 18 months before their wedding.  I do cater for weddings with shorter notice however it depends upon the availability in my diary.  My weddings are booked on a first come, first served basis and bookings are only confirmed once your part payment has been received.

Are flowers available all year round?

If I were a fresh flower florist then my answer would be ‘no’, but as I only work with artificial flowers seasonal flowers are not a concern.  As long as the flowers are available from my suppliers then you are free to choose from a wide variety of flowers, irrespective of the time of year.

How much do flowers usually cost?

There is a lot of variability when it comes to wedding flower costs.  Every wedding is different so the costs involved are to.  Most couples average spend is around £1500-£2000 on their wedding flowers and my Bespoke Service has a minimum spend of £1000.

I will always try and do my best to work with you and your budget and we can discuss options that may work for you.

I offer 2 wedding services.  My Totally Bespoke Service is for those who would like to be more involved with the planning of your wedding flowers and if you have a specific vision with particular flowers.

My Inspiration Package is ideal if you are looking for a more hands off approach to your wedding flowers.  This is suitable where you know what your colour scheme is, the kind of feel you are going for on your wedding day or a more intimate wedding.  You then leave the rest to me to use my expertise and experience to create flowers for you.

I also offer an Interest Free Payment option where you can spread the cost of the balance of your flowers with full payment being received no later than 8 weeks before your wedding.

Can I actually speak to someone to discuss what I am looking for?

Yes, face to face consultations are currently being held by Zoom.  To arrange a chat, please contact me to make a booking.

Do you only work with Essex based couples?

No, my flowers have travelled all over the UK and worldwide too, with destination wedding couples.  Personal flowers such as bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and accessories can be sent all over the UK so your location is less of a consideration.

If you are looking to book me for your decor flowers we would need to discuss where your wedding is and whether I cover your area.

What information is required to receive a quotation?

I will ask you to fill out my Wedding Inquiry Form which allows me to check availability in my diary.  I will also ask you a series of questions to gain more information about your day so that I can ensure that I am the correct florist for you.

The planning process from there will evolve depending on which service would work best for you.

Do I get to keep my flowers?

When it comes to your personal flowers, such as bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and hair flowers, these are yours to keep.  They are your keepsakes and can be given to those special members of your wedding party as a memento from your day.

My Hybrid decor flowers are hired so you get great quality flowers for your venue without the waste.  With fresh flowers it is not unusual for flowers to be thrown away within a day or two of a wedding which can have a big impact on the environment.  My hire service has been created to help make your wedding more sustainable and eco-friendly too.

I also have a tree planted for each of my couples as a gift from me to you and the environment.  Here little more about my Tree Planting initiative.

When will I receive my wedding flowers?

Personal flowers are usually received between 2-4 weeks before your wedding day unless agreed otherwise.  This ensure that you have them in good time and there are no worries on your wedding day of your flowers arriving in time to take those special photos or that they are in tip top condition either.

If you have booked a set up service for your venue then I will liaise with your venue to arrange the best time to arrive.

How should I store my wedding flowers as I am getting married in the next few months?

Keep them in a sealed box away from damp, radiators, sunlight, so a cool dry place would be perfect.  They will be just as ‘fresh’ on your wedding day as they day you receive them.

How many weddings do you work in one day?

I only set up one wedding on a particular day.   It is important to me that you have my full attention for your wedding flowers.

I only book a set amount of wedding per month and once that amount has been reached my diary closes.  This is so I can ensure that enough time has been allocated to your wedding as well as maintaining a healthy work life balance.

I haven’t chosen my colour scheme, can you help?

Yes of course, this is something that we can discuss and I will ask you questions to help you find the colours you are most drawn too.  I always recommend looking through my Instagram page and Pinterest to see what you may be drawn too.

Where can I find your T&Cs and Privacy & Cookie Policy?

These are our terms and conditions and privacy & cookie policy.

If you have a question that haven’t been covered in these FAQs then please get in touch and I shall answer them for you.

Luxury Faux Flowers - Adeela
Agree or disagree? A deciding factor on whether yo Agree or disagree? A deciding factor on whether you want to work with me depends on how I look?
It's known that if you want to work with a certain clientele then you should present yourself in a manner that attracts them. The clothes you wear, your shoes, bag even the carefully placed items in the back of the photo that doesn't look curated, but it is.
I get it. It's part of a brand image. You could write a book on it, in fact many have.
In a world where social media is largely curated sometimes it's difficult to see the true picture.
But I would rather stay authentic to who I am.
I was once told that my nose piercing wasn't best suited to a court room but it didn't stop me presenting my submissions & wining my cases for my clients.
I've been mistaken as the deputy & watched the suprised faces when they realise that actually I sit as Chair of the Board & my older male counterpart was the deputy instead.
Even with faux floristry. Many people don't get it but after they spend some time with me it all becomes much clearer!
I would like to think that people choose to work with me because of my expertise, my experience and knowledge. They value my work and also believe in my core values of transparency & integrity.
And the fact that I am wearing a Wonder Woman t-shirt in this picture has no reflection on what I create!
Is it important to you to get to know the person behind the brand?
PS. I miss my hairdresser
Bringing you some bright happy flowers to make you Bringing you some bright happy flowers to make you smile 🤗 no matter what the day has in store 🤞🏼
I don't usually post in the morning but I figured we should start today with a burst of colour, an injection of hope and a dose of optimism.
Today I have contact free collections & delivery's taking place plus proposals to finalise. I've spent the last few days packing up my faux tulips and special requests for gift bouquets & home decor flower's and the messages I have received to say how happy you are with them NEVER gets old.
First task of the day is to order more postal boxes. Glad you are all loving the move over to fully recyclable packaging, included the tape and stickers! ♻️.
If you have a special request please let me know and we can have a chat.
I am looking to order in some more beautiful blooms 🌿🤩
What would you like to see?
It's not very often I am lost for words. 🌿SWIPE It's not very often I am lost for words. 🌿SWIPE to read WHY 🌿Thank you @sixpence23 it really does mean so much 💜
I am lucky to work with wonderful couples. No one can deny the difficulties of the last year for us all in a variety of ways but I am grateful that I was still able to create flowers for weddings, even on the smallest scale.
Many of my couples still had their flowers made & delivered even when their date wasn't certain. My flowers allowed the flexibility of not having to think about rescheduling yet another supplier.
Truth is my couples and clients for non wedding work are not just passing through. We often remain in contact, it's so lovely to receive kind messages in my inbox just to say hi!
We are a community.
A faux flower family.
And I am very proud of that.
It's words like these that remind me just how much I love what I do.
It's not my job, it's a passion.
And even after almost 14 years, kind words like this still floor me
Every Single Time 💜
Sometimes it's easy to forget that we can have a big impact on someone else through the actions we sometimes take for granted.
Who are you grateful for?

Paying attention to detail is important. I spend Paying attention to detail is important. I spend time studying real flowers to ensure that I source the best in faux. I put my hands up, I love real flowers, hydrangeas in particular. I actually uprooted one from my previous home & brought it with me when I moved house.

I love how the heads grow large, lots of petals nestled together to create one big bloom.

Lush.

And just like mine that grow in the ground these have shades of colours in the petals too. From tones of soft lilac through to blue make my hydrangeas special.

The quality of the leaves, the detail on the stems, the clean cut petals means that people don't even think to question that they aren't real.

That's why attention to detail is important.

I haven't even touched on the topic on how much hydrangeas like to drink. A thirsty flower which make some florists nervous about using them in wedding and events, especially on hot days.

No one wants a droopy hydrangea head.

Whether that's on your wedding day or in your vase at home.

I probably don't mention it enough but I also create custom flowers for you or as special gift. This week I shall be boxing up and sending several out. Some are bunches and others are loose flower postal boxes for you to arrange at home.

I shall be popping these into my online store this week. I have very few stems left so if you want them, drop me a message.

Not all artificial flowers are the same. Faux flow Not all artificial flowers are the same. Faux flowers often get tarred with being called tacky & cheap looking and if you feel like that I don't blame you.
The truth of the matter is that you have been subjected to just that. Low grade artificial flowers.
Like most things in life there is good and bad in all. There are also phenomenal flowers and this is what I bring my clients. Move over the low grade flowers we have no space for you here!
So what should you be looking for?
🌿 Detail - the little things. Are the petal shapes realistic, is there veining on the leaves. Overly frayed leaves should be avoided as should cheap polyester.
🌿Does the flower hold up well? Is is well structured? Does it have that bounce back? For example if it's squashed does it retain its shape?
🌿Definition? Some flowers in nature have a natural block colour to and others are tonal. Is this reflected in the flower?
This is just a few of the things to look out for and I hope it helps to show the difference.
Not all artificial flowers are the same, there is a whole host of characteristics I look for when bringing you your flowers.
If you have any questions be sure to ask.
Do you now know what to look out for?

I have been featured in a magazine today. I was ho I have been featured in a magazine today. I was hoping to show you but the day has just disappeared. So far I have had 5 zoom calls with another one to start shortly. That's on top of the various conversations via email.
But it's been a good day.
There have been lots of enquiries, I will come back to you all.
I've have consultations with couples about their upcoming weddings and have proposals to write.
I am also part of the UK Weddings Taskforce and have been working for the last few months in respect of cultural weddings. My multicultural background means that I am part of many communities. I also had a traditional English, Asian and Turkish wedding.
Along with many other businesses I am working towards to getting the support and clarity the wedding industry needs.
This together with the announcement from Government around schools returning and my role in Governance, it's been a full day.
Hopefully tomorrow I will get a copy of the magazine.
Would you like to see what it's all about?
