Here are the most popular Wedding Flower FAQs
Are your flowers real?
No they just look real! My flowers and foliage are high quality silk flowers. I have many years of experience in sourcing the best quality flowers in the UK.
How far in advance do I need to contact you?
As soon as your date is set we can start discussing your flowers. Couples often book with me between 9 – 18 months before their wedding. I do cater for weddings with shorter notice however it depends upon the availability in my diary. My wedding are booked on a first come, first served basis and bookings are only confirmed once your 50% part payment has been received.
Are flowers available all year round?
If I were a fresh flower florist then my answer would be ‘no’, but as I only work with artificial flowers seasonal flowers are not a concern. As long as the flowers are available from my suppliers then you are free to choose from a wide variety of flowers, irrespective of the time of year.
How much do flowers usually cost?
There is a lot of variability when it comes to wedding flower costs. Every wedding is different so the costs involved are to. Most couples average spend is around £2000 on their wedding flowers and my Bespoke Service has a minimum spend of £1000.
I will always try and do my best to work with you and your budget and we can discuss options that may work for you.
I offer 2 wedding services. My Totally Bespoke Service is for those who would like to be more involved with the planning of your wedding flowers and if you have a specific vision with particular flowers.
My Inspiration Package is ideal if you are looking for a more hands off approach to your wedding flowers. You then leave the rest to me to use my expertise and experience to create flowers for you.
I also offer an Interest Free Payment option where you can spread the cost of the balance of your flowers with full payment being received no later than 8 weeks before your wedding.
Can I actually speak to someone to discuss what I am looking for?
Yes! I am based in Southend on Sea and regularly hold face to face consultations for local couples within a 15 mile radius. If you aren’t local then telephone or online consultations are available by appointment. Should you wish to arrange this, please contact me to make a booking.
Do you only work with Essex based couples?
No, my flowers have travelled all over the UK and worldwide too, with destination wedding couples!
What information is required to receive a quotation?
I will ask you to fill out my Wedding Inquiry Form which allow me to check availability in my diary. I will also ask you a series of questions to gain more information about your day so that i can ensure that I am the correct florist for you. This will also allow me to ensure that we are both on the same page as to what you are looking for.
The planning process from there will evolve depending on which service would work best for you.
Do I get to keep my flowers?
When it comes to your personal flowers, such as bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and hair flowers, these are yours to keep. They are your keepsakes and can be given to those special members of your wedding party as a memento from your day.
My Hybrid decor flowers are hired so you get great quality flowers for your venue without the waste. With fresh flowers it is not unusual for flowers to be thrown away within a day or two of a wedding which can have a big impact on the environment. My hire service has been created to help make your wedding more sustainable and eco-friendly too.
I also have a tree planted for each of my couples as a gift from me to you and the environment. Here little more about my Tree Planting initiative.
When will I receive my wedding flowers?
Personal flowers are usually received between 2-4 weeks before your wedding day unless agreed otherwise. This ensure that you have them in good time and there is no worries on your wedding day of your flowers arriving in time to take those special photos or that they are in tip top condition either.
If you have booked a set up service for your venue then I will liaise with your venue to arrange the best time to arrive.
How should I store my wedding flowers as I am getting married in the next few months?
Keep them in a sealed box away from damp, radiators, sunlight, so a cool dry place would be perfect. They will be just as ‘fresh’ on your wedding day as they day you receive them.
