Here are the most popular Wedding Flower FAQs

Are your flowers real?

No, they just look real! Our flowers and foliage are high quality silk flowers.  We have many years of experience in sourcing the best quality flowers in the UK.

Do you only create flowers for weddings?

Although a large proportion of our work is for weddings, we also create flowers for your home, craft kits and postal flower boxes.  Some items are listed in my store  and others are made via request.

I also hold workshops for personal events for hens, birthdays, anniversaries or just as a fun activity to do with your friends and family.  Corporate team building events can also be catered for as well as commercial enquiries.  If you would like to discuss this further, please get in touch.

I also have a love for teaching and mentoring other aspiring faux florists.

How far in advance do I need to contact you for our wedding flowers?

As soon as your date is set, we can start discussing your flowers.  Couples often book with me between 9 – 18 months before their wedding.  We do cater for weddings with shorter notice however it depends upon the availability in our diary.  Our weddings are booked on a first come, first served basis and bookings are only confirmed once your part payment has been received.

Are flowers available all year round?

If I were a fresh flower florist then my answer would be ‘no’, but as we only work with artificial flowers seasonal flowers are not a concern.  As long as the flowers are available from our suppliers then you are free to choose from a wide variety of flowers, irrespective of the time of year.

How much do flowers usually cost?

There is a lot of variability when it comes to wedding flower costs.  Every wedding is different so the costs involved are to.  Most couples average spend is around £1500-£3000 on their wedding flowers.  We have minimum spend of £350.00 for personal flowers or £1200 where decor flowers are also required.

We will always try and do my best to work with you and your budget and we can discuss options that may work for you.

We also offer an Interest Free Payment option where you can spread the cost of the balance of your flowers with full payment being received no later than 8 weeks before your wedding.

Can I actually speak to someone to discuss what I am looking for?

Yes, face to face consultations are currently being held by Zoom.  To arrange a chat, please contact us to make a booking.

Do you only work with Essex based couples?

No, our flowers have travelled all over the UK and worldwide too, with destination wedding couples.  Personal flowers such as bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and accessories can be sent all over the UK so your location is less of a consideration.

If you are looking to book us for your decor flowers we would need to discuss where your wedding is and whether we cover your area.

What information is required to receive a quotation?

We will ask you to fill out my Wedding Inquiry Form which allows us to check availability in my diary.  We will also ask you a series of questions to gain more information about your day so that we can ensure that we are the correct florist for you.

The planning process from there will evolve depending on which service would work best for you.

Do I get to keep my flowers?

When it comes to your personal flowers, such as bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and hair flowers, these are yours to keep.  They are your keepsakes and can be given to those special members of your wedding party as a memento from your day.

Our Hybrid decor flowers are hired so you get great quality flowers for your venue without the waste.  With fresh flowers it is not unusual for flowers to be thrown away within a day or two of a wedding which can have a big impact on the environment.  Our hire service has been created to help make your wedding more sustainable and eco-friendly too.

When will I receive my wedding flowers?

Personal flowers are usually received around 10 days before your wedding day unless agreed otherwise.  This ensures that you have them in good time and there are no worries on your wedding day of your flowers arriving in time to take those special photos or that they are in tip top condition either.

If you have booked a set up service for your venue then I will liaise with your venue, planner or on the day coordinator to arrange the best time to arrive.

How should I store my wedding flowers as I am getting married in the next few months?

Keep them in a sealed box away from damp, radiators, sunlight, so a cool dry place would be perfect.  They will be just as ‘fresh’ on your wedding day as they day you receive them.

How many weddings do you work in one day?

We usually set up one wedding on a particular day.   Depending upon availability of my team, there may be instances where another wedding may occur over the same 2 day period to allow for set up and collection of more than 1 wedding or event.

We only book a set amount of wedding per month and once that amount has been reached my diary closes.  This is so I can ensure that enough time has been allocated to your wedding as well as maintaining a healthy work life balance.

I don’t know anything about flowers, or have theme is that going to be a problem?

No not at all!  We are the professionals so we can guide you to what will work best for you.

We do suggest however that you do a little research about the types of flowers and designs you like  as everyone’s tastes are different. Even one or two inspiration photos can point us all in the right direction.

You don’t need to have thought through every detail. We’ve managed lots weddings and know our local venues very well. We’re always happy to provide suggestions and options for ceremony and reception styling ideas as well.

I haven’t chosen my colour scheme, can you help?

Yes of course, this is something that we can discuss and I will ask you questions to help you find the colours you are most drawn too.  I always recommend looking through my Instagram page and Pinterest to see what you may be drawn too.

Where can I find your T&Cs and Privacy & Cookie Policy?
