In a nutshell 👆Supporting Sustainability, stress reducing flowers, creating memories is what I do for you 🌿⁠

I could have easily went down the real flower path but I just had to do things differently. I am super picky about the flowers I use and years of experience and expertise means I know which ones to use and just as important, which ones not too.⁠

I have been a bride who flowers, well lets just say, were never going to arrive. Our stress levels were through the roof. I had looked for faux flowers back then but the quality was so bad I just couldn't use them. This is not the case now.⁠
⁠
I feel really strongly about the waste that surrounds flowers for a day and the use of single use floral foam. This stuff doesn't break down, its horrible and the amount that gets thrown away is just shocking.⁠

I do this for all these reasons and because I love it. I enjoy being creative and how happy it makes my clients too. I would say I have job satisfaction but that sounds a little empty. It's more than that. Its a vocation.⁠

I have converted quite a few fresh flower couples to #RealFlowerRebels over the years. I have watched people bend down to 'smell the roses' and watch the realisation in their face when it dawns on them that the flowers aren't real. I am proud to go with the faux, knowing that my flowers live way longer than a day!⁠

I was always that kid at school who stood their gr

I was always that kid at school who stood their ground for the other child who didn't feel confident to speak up or go out and make friends. I was always mindful that I didn't want the other child to feel alone or sad. My desire to support others and make sure they are ok goes as far back as running around the playground.
•
Justice and being treated fairly is a big part of my being, it's just something inside that I feel very strongly about. I think it comes from a place of equality, being a good person, a kind person and doing the right thing. As a child I was aware I was different. I come from mixed heritage, my background is diverse and I have been fortunate to experience different cultures alongside each other harmoniously.
•
There were times I faced hostility and treated different to others. Thankfully the world has moved on in the last 3 decades to the more tolerant world we live in. This however unpinned by desire of fairness and then later to the issue of your rights as a person and to legality of what's right and wrong..... and I knew Law was my path.
•
My legal career will always hold a dear place in my heart. I qualified as a solicitor, currently non practising, but I still keep myself connected and am a member of the Law Society.
•
I now use my passion to help others, to help make a difference in society by my roles as a Governor the local school. It really is a pleasure and honour to work alongside teachers, staff and the children are phenomenal!! They make me SO proud!!
•
I have never fitted in a box, always been as little qwerky, a little different so when I decided to follow my other passion of flowers I was always going to do it a little different! So I shout out for FAUX, it's the rebel in me 💜

Thank you @cat_snaps17 I have happy tears right now 💜 I know it's been tough for many couples. Wedding dates have been postponed & plans have been rescheduled.
I have moved dates for all my couples who have postponed and rescheduled my diary to make everything as stress free as possible 💜
Some couples have chosen to have their flowers for the original date and have marked the day that should have been. The flowers have then been put away ready for when their wedding will go ahead.
The flowers will be just a fresh when the couple are able to have their day.
It really does mean the world when a couple leave me a review. Even after 14 years every single one takes my breath away 🌿

Just incase you are wondering why I plant trees? It's a gift from me to my couples and the 🌏. The aim is to offset the carbon footprint for each wedding & to represent the start of a new beginning 💜

Let me tell you a secret.. You don't need it all. There is a difference between 'need' & want.
The 1st place to start is your budget. Be realistic. It about how much you are willing and comfortable to spend. This information will really help a florist to see what they can reasonably offer you. I will always ask what your budget is. Not because I'm trying to spend it but to ensure that I offer you realistic options. I often hear 'we don't know how much flowers are', I understand that. As a guide 10% of your wedding budget is often banded around. That may be a place to start but it's very subjective. I have a price guide on my website so I would recommend checking potential suppliers to see if they have the same. That may help you to narrow your list on who you want to contact for a chat.
It's a good idea to prioritise your flowers to essentials to ideally what you may like. There are no hard & fast rules but I would suggest:
Bouquets, buttonholes, corsages
Table flowers / ceremony flowers /hair flowers
Additional venue areas / Installations
Cake Table flowers
Table plan flowers
Throw Bouquet / Gift flowers
If your budget allows your 'want' list then great. If not, you can still have an amazing day.
I am very transparent, whether it's your wedding or event I won't try and add extras for the sake of it just to try & up my quote. Also, I give you a breakdown so you know exactly where the money is being spent so its easy for you to see how it would change if you choose to add or take things off.
Bouquets, buttonholes, corsages, hair flowers are yours to keep. Venue / table items can be hired unless you request otherwise.
Ultimately don't over stretch yourself in any area of your wedding / event planning. It's about you and your partner making a commitment to each other & that's the most important thing.

My life changed and I had a choice to make and not

My life changed and I had a choice to make and not for the 1st time. It began with 2 little ones and me not wanting to miss out on their early years. As the time was getting closer for me to return to the firm, the late nights and being out of the house for long hours didn't seem very appealing.⁠
⁠
In fact, I had a knot in my stomach so I had to make a choice. Either I went back and spent a huge portion of my salary on childcare or I wouldn't go back just now. The latter won. It felt great but daunting. I'm a bit of a workaholic and I loved my job but I knew this was best for us.⁠
⁠
It was great to be able to be with them, and eventually take them to Nursery, but I needed something for myself. I decided to go back to my love of floristry and start a business for myself. It was a juggle, stressful at first but I had to make It work.⁠
⁠
2 became 3 and I took a little time out. Not too long but enough to work out a plan of how I was going to get everything done. No matter how hard things seem there is always an option.⁠
⁠
My business now has evolved and adapted over the years, ⁠
you don't have to stay stagnant you can change, adapt, learn and grown.⁠
⁠

It began with 2 little ones and me not wanting to miss out on their early years. As the time was getting closer for me to return to the firm, the late nights and being out of the house for long hours didn't seem very appealing.⁠ ⁠ In fact, I had a knot in my stomach so I had to make a choice. Either I went back and spent a huge portion of my salary on childcare or I wouldn't go back just now. The latter won. It felt great but daunting. I'm a bit of a workaholic and I loved my job but I knew this was best for us.⁠ ⁠ It was great to be able to be with them, and eventually take them to Nursery, but I needed something for myself. I decided to go back to my love of floristry and start a business for myself. It was a juggle, stressful at first but I had to make It work.⁠ ⁠ 2 became 3 and I took a little time out. Not too long but enough to work out a plan of how I was going to get everything done. No matter how hard things seem there is always an option.⁠ ⁠ My business now has evolved and adapted over the years, ⁠ you don't have to stay stagnant you can change, adapt, learn and grown.⁠ ⁠ Things never go in a straight line.
