Floristry was my stress reliever when studying to become a lawyer. When I decided to change careers so I could spend more time with my family I knew floristry was the way forward for me. I have always done things differently to others so I knew my journey would take a different path.
When my husband & I married we had no real input in our flowers. As a multicultural family we had several events which all formed part of our marriage. From not knowing what was going to arrive & being informed the day before one of our events that we weren’t going to receive our flowers due to unforeseen circumstance, I can honestly say we didn’t enjoy the experience. From the flowers that were delivered, although they were lovely enough, they didn’t represent who we are.
When I began my floral career it was important that no couple ever experience what we did.
We did consider faux flowers but in 2002 the quality was just not good enough. Today technology has transcended silk flowers to a place that they are more realistic than ever. Knowing what to choose takes experience and expertise.
My mission is to bring bring my clients the very best in faux floristry, flowers that evoke memories, reflect who you are whilst reducing the impact on our environment.
My passionate & transparent approach means I will only select the very best faux florals for you. I empower you to embrace the numerous benefits of artifical flowers & encourage sustainable floristry for your floral decor. Sustainability & being eco conscious are at the core of my business. I only use foam free eco friendly methods when creating my work to reduce waste and impact on the environment.
I am an inclusive floral designer and welcome weddings from all communities including LGBTQ+ couples. As a family with diverse ethnic & cultural backgrounds I am able to blend traditions to create a floral expression of you both.

You don't need it all. There is a difference between NEED & WANT.
The 1st place to start is your budget. Be realistic. It about how much you are willing and comfortable to spend. This information will really help a florist to see what they can reasonably offer you. I will always ask what your budget is. Not because I'm trying to spend it but to ensure that I offer you realistic options. I often hear 'we don't know how much flowers are', I understand that. As a guide 10% of your wedding budget is often banded around. That may be a place to start but it's very subjective. I have a price guide on my website so I would recommend checking potential suppliers to see if they have the same. That may help you to narrow your list on who you want to contact for a chat.
It's a good idea to prioritise your flowers to essentials to ideally what you may like. There are no hard & fast rules but I would suggest:
Bouquets, buttonholes, corsages
Table flowers / ceremony flowers /hair flowers
Additional venue areas / Installations
Cake Table flowers
Table plan flowers
Throw Bouquet / Gift flowers
If your budget allows your 'want' list then great. If not, you can still have an amazing day.
I am very transparent, whether it's your wedding or event I won't try and add extras for the sake of it just to try and up my quote. Also, I give you a breakdown so you know exactly where the money is being spent so its easy for you to see how it would change if you choose to add or take things off.
Bouquets, buttonholes, corsages, hair flowers are yours to keep. Venue / table items can be hired unless you request otherwise.
Ultimately don't over stretch yourself in any area of your wedding / event planning. It's about you and your partner making a commitment to each other and that's the most important thing.

I'm not quite a fresh flower florist, I use faux flowers but I do use fresh flower techniques. I'm not your usual supplier of faux flowers. I am the 1st florist to be accredited by the Institute of Professional Florists (IOPF), who usually accredit only fresh flower florists. ✨So a Hybrid Florist is the best description for what I do✨
When I approached the IOPF and asked to go through the accreditation process, at 1st they didn't really know how to process my request. It had never been done before. I explained that I wanted to raise the standards of faux floristry and show my audience that I am the expert in my field. I said I would go through the same process as fresh florists and they could assess me accordingly. Tbh they were great and open to the idea so I was allocated an Area Professional who would assess my work.
It was a lengthy process. I had to submit lots of information and answer lots of questions which covered not only my floral work but business knowledge including rules and regulations in the industry. The process took approximately 3-4 months and then I got a call.
I was thanked for my submission and told that they had checked everything and was pleased to be able to confirm and accredit me as the 1st Florist ever to be accredited for faux flower work. They commended me for pushing the boundaries of faux floristry actually putting myself through the process and leading the way to bring better standards to faux floristry as a whole.
I was overjoyed to say the least! I knew I was more than capable and many told me I was mad to apply but I did it anyway.
You see you have to believe in yourself and what you are doing as that's the only way you give the best of what you can do.
Always keep learning, pushing boundaries and set new challenges for yourself.
